Classic Caramel Popcorn
  1. Preheat oven at 250°F.

  2. Spray a large mixing bowl lightly with no-stick cooking spray and place popped popcorn inside; set aside.

  3. Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.

  4. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

  5. Lower heat and boil 5 minutes, without stirring.

  6. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.

  7. Gradually pour over reserved popped corn, mixing well to coat.

  8. Spread popcorn evenly into a rimmed 17- x 12-inch baking pan.

  9. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

  10. Remove from oven and cool completely.

  11. Store in airtight container.
