Grind the beans coarsely — about the texture of raw sugar or cracked peppercorns.
Combine in jar: Add the 200g of grounds to a clean 2-liter jar or container.
Add water: Pour 1.5 liters of cold water over the grounds. Stir thoroughly to ensure full saturation.
Cover and steep: Seal loosely (or use a plastic lid) and let steep for 12–18 hours.
Steep at room temp for ~12 hours for a smoother brew, or in the fridge for 16–18 hours for a mellow, bright extraction.
Strain: First strain through a mesh strainer or cheesecloth into another vessel. Then do a second strain through a coffee filter, nut milk bag, or fine sieve for clarity.
Store: Keep refrigerated. Will stay fresh up to 1 week.
To Serve: Dilute 1:1 with cold water, milk, or over ice. Or go bolder: try it undiluted over ice with a splash of oat milk and a pinch of salt.
