  3. Heat canola oil in a skillet over medium-high heat

  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste

  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef and simmer until thickened

  6. Fry the egg in a separate pan until cooked to your preference

  7. Serve the beef mixture over cooked jasmine rice

  8. Top with fried egg and sliced green onion
