My Pork Roast Secrets
  1. Preheat your oven to 240°C.

  2. Place the pork roast in the oven and cook for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the crackling looks amazing. Be prepared to open a window and turn on your exhaust fan, as this can produce quite a bit of smoke.

  3. After the crackling time, reduce the oven temperature to 180°C.

  4. Continue cooking the roast for an additional 30 minutes for every 500g of meat. For example, a 2kg roast will need two more hours after the initial crackling.

  5. Once the roast is fully cooked, drizzle some honey over the crackling and return it to the oven for 5 more minutes.

  6. Remove the roast from the oven, cover it with foil, and let it rest for at least 15 to 20 minutes before carving.
