Ginger Biscuits
  1. Melt butter with milk powder (if using) in a saucepan until nutty and brown.

  2. Stir in golden syrup and vanilla paste.

  3. In a large bowl, mix plain flour, brown sugar, salt, bicarbonate soda, baking powder, and ginger powder.

  4. Pour in the butter and syrup mixture and stir a little.

  5. Add the beaten eggs and stir thoroughly until a soft dough forms.

  6. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to create balls of dough.

  7. Chill the dough balls in the fridge until firm.

  8. Roll each ball between palms into little balls and space out on baking sheets.

  9. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  10. Bake for 10 minutes.

  11. For a crisper biscuit, bake for a little longer, keeping an eye on them.
