Sauté mushrooms and onions and set aside, cooking onions for about 3 minutes until they start to soften
Brown the ground beef in a pan, breaking it apart as it cooks
Drain excess fat from the pan, reserving about 3 tablespoons
Add broccoli to the pan, cover and let it steam for about 3 minutes, adjusting time to your preferred tenderness
Combine stir fry sauce ingredients in a cup: ginger, garlic, hot water, soy sauce, brown sugar, corn starch, black pepper, and sesame oil
Turn heat to low and pour in the stir fry sauce
Toss everything together until evenly coated, keeping heat on low so sauce doesn't dry out
Serve over rice and garnish with sesame seeds
