Make this for when you’re sick.
Add water, grated ginger, lemon, cloves, cinnamon sticks, and star anise to pot. Bring to boil.
Once the tea is boiling, turn the heat off and let steep between 5 minutes and 30 minutes. The longer, the better.
Add honey and stir. Adjust sweetness to your taste by omitting or adding more.
Sip, enjoy, and feel better!
My tweaks
You can slice the ginger for a less strong taste. Grating it allows the juices to come through and really coat your throat.
I added cinnamon, cloves, and star anise for spice and healing properties. You can make this with just lemon, ginger, and honey if you want a more pure taste, but I feel it is recommended.
