Rice Cooker Oyakodon Style Mixed Rice
  1. Rinse the rice until the water runs clear and drain thoroughly

  2. Cut onion into half moons

  3. Chop mitsuba roughly

  4. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces

  5. Mix chicken with marinade ingredients: 2 tsp soy sauce, 2 tsp sake, 2 tsp mirin, and 1 tsp sugar

  6. Mix sauce ingredients together: 180ml water, 1 tbsp + 1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sake, 1 tbsp mirin, 2 tsp sugar, and ½ tsp dashi powder

  7. Add rinsed rice to rice cooker pot

  8. Add the prepared sauce and mix well

  9. Add sliced onion and spread evenly

  10. Add seasoned chicken and spread evenly

  11. Cook on rice cooker's regular white rice setting

  12. Just before rice finishes cooking, beat the 2 eggs

  13. When rice is done, pour beaten eggs evenly over the rice

  14. Close the lid and wait for 15 minutes on warm mode

  15. Garnish with chopped mitsuba or green onions and serve
