Preheat Oven to 425°F.
Cook the macaroni until al dente.
While the macaroni cooking, grease the baking dish with butter.
Whisk the eggs and milk together, until incorporated, salt and pepper to taste.
After the macaroni is done, make layers in the baking dish using the prepared ingredients. Each layer should consist of, in order, macaroni, ham cubes, swiss cheese, and egg mixture, using about half for each layer.
Top with nutmeg, salt, and pepper, to taste.
Cover baking dish with foil or lid, and bake for 20 minutes.
