Traditional Salt Dough Ornaments
  1. Mix flour, salt, and water in a mixer or by hand

  2. Turn dough onto a flour surface and roll out to desired thickness. (I have learned that thicker ornaments look better and don't curl when drying. I roll my dough to about ½" thickness.)

  3. Cut ornaments with cookie cutters and/or cookie molds. If using intricately cut molds, dust with flour first.

  4. Bake at 200° for 2 hours

  5. If hanging as an ornament, create a hole using a toothpick, straw, etc. I found that a metal straw works great.
