Combine warm milk, melted butter, honey, and yeast in a stand mixer bowl.
Let sit 8 to 10 minutes until foamy.
Add half the flour and mix on low until a loose batter forms.
Add egg and salt, mix briefly.
Add remaining flour and knead on low to medium-low for 5 to 7 minutes until soft, smooth, and slightly tacky.
Transfer to a greased bowl, cover, and rise 1 hour until doubled.
Turn onto a floured surface, press into a rectangle, and cut into 12 pieces.
Tuck edges under each piece for a smooth top.
Place in a greased 9x13 pan, cover, and rise 45 minutes to 1 hour until puffy.
Bake at 350F for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden.
Brush immediately with melted butter.
