Simple Sausage Gravy
  1. Preheat cast iron skillet on medium high

  2. Crumble sausage into skillet and cook until nearly all pink is gone. Do not get too overdone or crispy. (Approx 3-5 min)

  3. Mix flour into skillet and stir until all sausage is coated.

  4. Turn heat down to medium/medium low

  5. While stirring, pour in the milk. Increase the heat to medium-high. Once the mixture boils and thickens, reduce the heat to medium-low. Add the seasoned salt, black pepper, and sage or thyme, if using, and let it simmer for 3 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened., scraping little bits.

  6. Serve over biscuits or as a sauce for breakfast pizza
