Chili with beans
  1. Heat 1 tsp olive oil in Dutch oven, add beef and cook over medium heat until no longer pink.

  2. Remove meat from pan and drain.

  3. Pour out excess grease and add 2 tsp olive oil to the pan.

  4. Cook onions over medium-low heat and sweat until translucent and completely softened.

  5. Add minced garlic and minced jalapeno along with all the spices and cook briefly.

  6. Add the red wine and cook bring to a boil. Continue cooking until mostly dry.

  7. Add tomatoes and kidney beans and add back in the cooked ground beef.

  8. Check seasoning and serve with shredded cheese and sour cream with additional minced pickled jalapenos as desired.
