Apricot Rice Pudding
  1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine rice, water, apricots, salt, cinnamon, allspice, and brown sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

  4. When rice is cooked and water is absorbed, stir in milk.

  5. Serve warm or chilled.
