Sliced and parboiled pork belly. Broiled in a pot with water for about 2-4 minutes. Rinse and set aside.
In a pan or wok add 1 tablespoon oil and 1 tablespoon sugar to caramelize. Wait until sugar turn into a dark dark brown.
Add in garlic and shallots. Stir for 6-8 second.
Add in the pork belly. Stir to coated the pork belly.
Add in fish sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder msg, ground pepper and fresh chili. Mix well together.
Add water and cover for 6-8 minutes.
Uncovered and add in the shrimp. Mix well
Covers and continue to cook for 6-8 minute.
Uncovered and mix. Continue to cook uncovered until sauce thickens. Don't forget to stir occasionally.
Taste and adjust. Add chop green onions and enjoy 😉 with some steam rice 🍚. Ps, you can substitute shrimps for quail egg. These are baby shrimp. The shell are soft and edible. You can use bigger shrimp of preferred.
