Start by removing the silken tofu from its packaging and draining any excess water. Let it sit on a plate while you prepare the sauce, as it will continue to release more water. If you prefer, you can chill the tofu in the refrigerator for a colder dish.
For the sauce, combine all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Adjust the flavors to your liking.
If you want to add noodles, cook a batch of wheat noodles until they reach your desired chewiness.
Once the sauce is ready, pour it over the prepared tofu.
Add your choice of toppings, such as chopped green onions and fried shallots.
For the leftover sauce, mix it with the cooked noodles in a bowl, adding soy sauce and chili oil to taste. Stir well to combine.
Enjoy your tofu and noodles as a complete meal that can be prepared in 20 minutes or less.
