Ann Hunt's horseradish dumplings
  1. Sift flour and baking powder

  2. Add other ingredients

  3. Mix to a fairly soft dough with beaten egg and milk

  4. Divide into small pieces and roll into balls with floured hands

  5. 30 minutes before stew/Scouse/casserole or whatever is ready add dumplings and turn up over to hot (Gas Mark 7)

  6. 5 mins before end remove lid to brown
