In a large bowl, combine the flour, vegetable oil, tvorog or farmer's cheese, butter, egg yolks, baking powder, and salt.
Knead the mixture until it forms a soft dough.
If the dough is too sticky, add a tablespoon or two of flour.
Shape the dough into small pancake-shaped patties.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a little vegetable oil.
Fry the patties in batches until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Serve the syrniki hot, topped with sour cream and sugar.
