Pre-heat oven to 180C/350F.
Cut your pears in half and remove the middle seeds, as well as the stems.
Prepare a baking tray with baking paper and place the pear halves flesh up.
In a small bowl mix butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, light brown sugar, vanilla extract until completely emulsified.
Spoon on top of the pears so that they are coated.
Turn the pears over so they are flesh down and brush some of the cinnamon butter on top.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until soft and starting to caramelise.
Serve in a bowl with a scoop of yoghurt, chopped pecans and some of the leftover sweet cinnamon butter.
