Beat 250g softened butter and 250g caster sugar in a large bowl until soft and fluffy.
Add 2 tsp vanilla extract, pinch of salt, 4 eggs, 250g self-raising flour, 1 tsp baking powder and 3 tbsp milk then gently beat for 2-3 mins, until combined and smooth.
Spoon into the tin and bake for 35-40mins at 180C/ 160C fan/ gas 4.
Once cooled, top with icing and sprinkles.
