Preheat oven to 220 degrees Fahrenheit
Separate basil leaves from stems
Wash basil leaves in water for 5-10 minutes
Dry basil leaves with paper towels
Add ⅔ cup of packed basil leaves to a food processor or blender
Add 1 cup of coarse sea salt
Pulse until combined, scraping down sides as needed
Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper
Spread the mixture onto the prepared cookie sheet
Bake for 30-40 minutes at 220 degrees Fahrenheit
Allow to cool completely
Break into pieces and add back to blender
Blend again until desired consistency is reached
Package and store
