Place sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and cook, stirring often until fragrant; about 4-6 minutes. Taste a couple seeds to make sure they are toasted to your liking (they should be pleasantly nutty with no bitterness). Remove from heat and set aside to cool for a few minutes.
Add the cooled seeds to a food processor along with the nori (crumble it up), salt, and wasabi powder, if using. Pulse a few times to pulverize the nori. Lastly, add the hemp seed and pulse a few times to fully incorporate the ingredients.
Transfer to an airtight glass container and store at room temperature for two to three months.
