Place sliced butter in a 9×9-inch or 2.5-quart dish and bake 5–7 minutes until melted and bubbling. Remove carefully
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl
Whisk buttermilk, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl
Stir wet ingredients into dry just until combined. Do not over-mix
Gently fold in strawberries
Pour batter into hot butter, spread evenly, and score into 9 squares. Place dish on a rimmed sheet pan
Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and set, tenting if needed
Cool 10–15 minutes
Whisk powdered sugar, milk/cream, vanilla, and salt until smooth
Fold in strawberries and adjust consistency as needed
Drizzle glaze over warm biscuits. Let set 10 minutes before serving
