How To Cook Fluffy Basmati Rice
  1. Wash the basmati rice to remove excess starch

  2. Soak the rice for 15 minutes

  3. Use a wide and big pot, add 5 times more water than the rice and 2 tsp salt per 200 g or 1 cup of rice, bring to a boil

  4. Drain the rice and add it to the boiling water, stir gently and let it boil for 5 minutes

  5. Drain the rice thoroughly using a colander

  6. Put the pot back on the stove, add a little water just to cover the bottom, add the drained rice, cover and cook on low heat for 5-7 minutes until tender

  7. Transfer the cooked rice to a serving dish
