Whole Wheat Burger Buns
  1. Dissolve dry yeast in water and let rest for 10 minutes.

  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment, add: bread flour, whole wheat flour, yeast/water mixture, sugar, and milk.

  3. Start mixing and slowly add the eggs, olive oil and salt.

  4. Knead for 15 minutes until the dough is soft yet slightly tacky.

  5. Place dough in a lightly oiled dish (2qt recommended) for an hour to rise until doubled.

  6. Divide dough into 9 pieces and form into rolls (Roll into sphere shape, stretch exterior and pinch together to create a smooth texture).

  7. Cover formed dough balls and let rise for 40 minutes.

  8. Pre-Heat Oven to 400°F.

  9. Brush top of buns with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  10. Bake for 15 minutes.
