Kramer Family Bbq Sauce Starter
  1. Put dry spices into a medium sauce pan and heat over medium heat until fragrant. 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Add Butter, Garlic and Onion to pan and saute gently for a few minutes. Be careful not to burn the spices!

  3. Add Ketchup, Worcestershire, Sugar, Acid, Liquid Smoke & Capers.

  4. (Use Brown Sugar and Lemon for Chicken and Molasses and Lime for Ribs! Just Sayin')

  5. Stir until combined and bring to boil over medium heat. Turn heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes to blend flavors.

  6. Thicken with tomato paste to desired consistency while simmering.

  7. Use immediately or let cool completely and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
