Process until thoroughly mixed and smooth.
Transfer the mixture to plastic wrap and form into a ball.
Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Serve chilled or at room temperature with crackers, celery, apple slices or bread for spreading.
Instructions:
This spicy cheese ball is loaded with cheddar, Monterey Jack and spicy green chilies. The cayenne pepper gives it a nice kick! It's easy to throw together and makes for a great cold appetizer or snack
The full recipe uses 8 oz cream cheese, 1 cup cheddar, 1 cup Monterey jack, so about 10 oz of cheese total
It makes one medium-sized cheese ball
When making a cheese ball, you generally calculate about 1-1.5 oz per person for appetizer-sized portions
So if you cut the full cheese ball into 16 slices or cubes, each portion would be around 1 oz
So in total, the full recipe yields approximately 16 appetizer servings for guests.
