Southern Fried Cabbage
  1. Prep your veggies: Cut and wash cabbage into ½ inch strips. Slice bell peppers. Dice onion.

  2. Prep your meats: Cut bacon into bite size pieces. Slice sausage links.

  3. Cook bacon to your desired crispiness. Remove and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet (keep the bacon grease), cook the sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.

  5. In the same skillet, sauté onions for 2 minutes. Add bell peppers and cook another 2 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook 30 seconds.

  6. Add onion powder, liquid smoke, smoked paprika, sazon, Tony’s, brown sugar, and crushed red pepper. Mix well.

  7. Add cabbage, cover, and cook 5–8 minutes. Uncover and mix.

  8. Add bacon and sausage back on top in an even layer. Add 1 tbsp butter in the center. Cover and cook another 5–8 minutes.
