Preserve your onion skins (we like to keep them in a bag in a cool dry area until an accumulate the skins from about 6-8 onions).
Give the onion skins a good wash (& use this leftover water to fertilize your plants.. it will be rich in potassium 🌱)
Pat them dry, then lay them in a single layer on baking sheets lined with parchment.
Dehydrate in the oven at the lowest setting until they are dry and brittle (easily snap in your fingers).
Place in a blender or food processor until a fine powder forms.
