Easy Almond Buttercream Frosting
  1. Sift the powdered sugar and set it aside.

  2. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the butter on high speed until soft and creamy, about 3 minutes.

  3. With the mixer on, add the powdered sugar one tablespoon at a time. Start on low speed to avoid splattering, then gradually increase to high speed. Scrape down the sides of the bowl to ensure even mixing.

  4. Add the vanilla extract, almond extract, and milk or cream. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more milk (a teaspoon at a time). If it's too thin, add more powdered sugar (1–2 tablespoons at a time).

  5. Beat on high speed for another 3–4 minutes, until the frosting becomes lighter in color and fluffy.

  6. Use a rubber spatula to stir and smooth out any air bubbles.
