  2. Next, incorporate the ground pork, ground beef, and ground veal into the pan, pressing it down to ensure even cooking.

  3. Season the meat with salt and pepper, allowing it to brown nicely.

  4. While the meat is cooking, roughly chop the medium onion and add it to the pan.

  5. Chop the three medium carrots and add them in as well.

  6. Dice the three smaller potatoes and mix them into the pan.

  7. Grate the three cloves of garlic and stir them into the mixture.

  8. Roughly chop half of the small Savoy cabbage and add it to the pot.

  9. Pour in the can of tomato juice and a splash of water to combine everything.

  10. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes.

  11. After cooking, check the potatoes and carrots for tenderness.

  12. Adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper if necessary, and assess the stew's texture.
