  1. Combine the confectioners’ sugar, salt, cream, and vanilla to make the frosting.

  3. Preheat the oven and line baking sheets.

  4. Mix butter, sugar, baking powder, and salt until creamy.

  5. Add egg white mixture to the butter and beat until smooth.

  6. Mix in the cake flour to form a soft dough.

  7. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a ½-inch plain tip.

  8. Pipe portions of dough onto baking sheets and bake until puffed and pale gold.

  9. Let the cookies cool completely.

  10. Decorate the cookies by squeezing frosting over each, spreading it, and adding sprinkles.
