Mix 1 cup warm water, 2 tablespoon yeast, and 2 tsp sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.
Scald milk and stir sugar into milk. Cool to lukewarm.
Add beaten eggs, mashed potatoes, salt, oil, and flour. Mix and knead until smooth soft dough (approximately 5 minutes).
Allow dough to rise for 25 minutes, then punch down and knead in the raisins. Let rise again till double in size.
Grease pans, form buns, place on parchment lined pans, and let rise again for 30 minutes.
Bake in a 350º oven for 11 minutes.
