1 can of biscuits
¼ cup baking soda
2 cups of water
1 TBSP melted butter
Coarse salt for sprinkling, or you can use normal salt
Melted pub cheese dip
Preheat oven to 425
Cut the biscuits in half if you have small ones, in quarters if you have large ones
Prepare baking sheet with parchment paper
Bring water to a boil, then and add baking soda and whisk until dissolved
Working in batches:
Add handful of biscuits to the water, allowing them to loosely float
They will begin to puff slightly after about 10-15 seconds, at this time they can be removed with a slotted spoon or strainer
(Note: the amount of time in the soda bath will affect the brown/crisp pretzel like exterior. Too much time in the bath, less brown/crisp, etc.)
Place them onto the baking sheet allowing a bit of space for them to expand
Repeat the process until your sheet is full
Brush them with melted butter
Sprinkle salt on the top to your liking
Bake for 7-9 minutes or until the preferred darkness.
