Garlic Bread Butter Bath Scones Recipe
  1. Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan forced. Grease a 5cm-deep, 18 x 25cm (base size) baking dish.

  2. Place butter in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes or until melted. Turn off heat and stir in garlic and parsley. Reserve 2 tablespoonfuls of the butter mixture and pour remaining butter mixture into prepared dish.

  3. Place flour in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Add the buttermilk and season with salt. Gently stir until just combined. Transfer the dough to prepared dish and use the back of a spoon to gently spread out to the corners (the butter will ooze up and over the dough).

  4. Use a pizza cutter to cut dough into 12 squares. Drizzle over reserved butter mixture and sprinkle each square with cheese. Bake for 25 minutes or until risen and golden. Set aside in pan for 5 minutes then serve with extra butter.
