Cottage Pie Lasagne - easy cook
  1. Fry beef mince seasoned with salt and pepper on medium high heat for 3-4 minutes or until browned then set aside

  2. In the same pan fry onion, carrot and celery for a few minutes to soften then return the beef mince to the pan

  3. Add mixed herbs, garlic and tomato puree, mixing through

  4. Add plain flour, stir through, then add beef stock

  5. Stir again, then add Worcestershire sauce and bring to a gentle simmer

  6. Cover on medium low heat for 5-10 minutes before removing the lid and simmering until the liquid has reduced

  7. Meanwhile, boil sliced potatoes for around 15 minutes or until tender

  8. Add a few spoons of the beef mixture to the bottom of a deep oven dish, followed by an even layer of potatoes

  9. Repeat the process of layering beef mixture and potatoes, topping with potatoes (3 layers of each)

  10. Mix melted butter with garlic granules, mixed herbs, salt and pepper, evenly brushing over the top layer of potatoes

  11. Place in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan) for 30-35 minutes or until golden, adding cheese on top 5 minutes from the end if preferred
