  2. Spread cowboy butter in 9-inch baking dish. Place in oven at 450°F until melted.

  3. Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Rub in butter until crumbly, stir in buttermilk.

  4. Pour dough into dish, spread evenly, score into 9 pieces, and bake 20–25 minutes until golden.

  5. Cool slightly and serve warm.
