Two Ingredient Sourdough
  1. Mix the self-rising flour and kefir in a bowl until a soft dough forms. Add salt at this stage if desired.

  2. Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with a damp tea towel, and let it rest for 2 hours.

  3. Flour your work surface. Stretch and fold the dough 4-5 times to develop structure.

  4. Preheat a Dutch oven at 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes before baking.

  5. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and place it in the preheated Dutch oven. Bake for 50 minutes total.

  6. Tip: Remove the Dutch oven lid after 35 minutes to help the crust turn golden brown.
