Herb Butter-Finely chop half an onion. Take cold butter straight from the fridge and combine it with the chopped onion, salt, fresh chives, parsley, garlic powder, and a dash of Maggi. Knead everything together by hand until it forms a smooth, combined mixture. Alternatively, you can use store-bought herb butter.
Caramelized Onions- Thinly slice 2-3 onions and sauté them in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Add a touch of brown sugar.
Garlic Steak Bites - Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Sear it hard on both sides over high heat, then lower the heat. Add butter and smashed garlic, basting constantly. Rest for 5-10 minutes, then cut into small bite-sized pieces. In the same pan, sauté chopped garlic in butter. Season with chili, salt, pepper, and a pinch of brown sugar. Turn off the heat, add the steak bites back, then finish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.
Assembly-ayer a slice of gouda inside each brioche bun, followed by caramelized onions and the garlic steak bites. Close the buns and bake at 180°C for about 10 minutes until the cheese melts. Melt the herb butter in the microwave and brush over the warm buns.
