Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Allow the butter to cool for 10 minutes.
Whisk in the sugars until fully incorporated.
In a separate bowl, mash the overripe bananas. Add the bananas to the butter-sugar mixture and whisk until fully combined.
Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, powder and salt and cinnamon.
Pour the flour mixture into the banana batter. Gently fold to combine.
Add in the chocolate chips.
Pour the mixture into a lined or greased bread pan.
Bake the bread at 350°F for 55-65 minutes.
Allow the bread to cool for at least one hour before slicing.
