Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened (about 2-3 minutes).
Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, ranch seasoning, and uncooked pasta. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low.
Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until pasta is cooked (about 10-12 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
