10-minute Ground Beef Dinner
  1. Add the oil to a medium to large skillet over high heat and let heat up for 1 minute.

  2. Add the shallots and garlic and toss until aromatic but not burnt, about 30 seconds.

  3. Add the beef and break it up with a spatula. Stir occasionally until browned, about 6 minutes.

  4. Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Stir until combined.

  5. Add the basil leaves and chilies. Stir fry for 30 seconds.

  6. Scoop the beef mixture with a slotted spoon over a bed of rice for serving, if using.

  7. If you’d like to serve with fried eggs, leave the residual grease in the pan and adjust the heat to medium.

  8. Crack the eggs into the pan and fry until the edges get crispy and the whites are set but the yolks are still liquid.

  9. Add the eggs on top of the beef stir fry.
