1. Cut your onion and potatoes into very small pieces then cook them with lard (or olive oil) in a pan over medium low heat for 10-15 mins or until soft.

  2. Add the cheese and cook until it's completely melted and a crust is formed at the bottom of the pan.

  3. Flip your frico to the other side and cook for a couple more minutes.
