Boil macaroni noodles according to direction to make them very al dente. (I cook them for at least 1 minute less than directed on the bag). Drain and rinse with cold water.
Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and cook on HIGH for 1.5 hours, or on low for 3 hours, stirring once or twice.
Serve hot.
Alternative baked recipe: Combine all ingredients except for Mac.
Once combined, add Mac.
Put the mixture in 9x11 pan and bake at 365F.
Once the Mac is bubbly and all cheese is melted, put breadcrumbs on top and set oven to Broil.
Brown the breadcrumbs and remove from oven.
