Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8x8 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a blender or food processor, combine cottage cheese, cocoa powder, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt. Blend until smooth.
Stir in the dark chocolate chips by hand until evenly distributed.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
