    🍌 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease or line a 9×5” loaf pan.

  2. Whisk dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt).

  3. Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Add eggs one at a time.

  5. Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, mash bananas and stir in milk, vanilla, and sourdough discard.

  6. Combine wet and creamed mixtures until just blended.

  7. Add dry ingredients and stir until almost combined.

  8. Fold in chocolate chips and bacon (if using).

  9. Prepare swirl: Mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth.

  10. Layer batter: Pour half the batter into the pan, spoon on half the peanut butter swirl, then repeat with remaining batter and swirl. Use a knife to gently marble it through the loaf.

  11. Bake 65–75 minutes, tenting with foil if browning too quickly. Toothpick should come out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.

  12. Cool completely.

  13. Drizzle glaze: Once cool, drizzle peanut butter glaze on top and sprinkle with extra chopped bacon or chocolate if desired.
