1. In a large stock pot, place the sausage, ground beef, onion, peppers, and ½ tsp. salt, ½ tsp. pepper, ½ tsp. chili powder, ½ tsp. cumin, ½ tsp. garlic powder. Cook until the meat is brown. Strain to remove the grease.

  2. In a large mixing bowl combine the V8, ⅓ heaping cup chili powder, ketchup, lemon juice, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, mustard, 2 Tbs. cumin, 1 tsp. chipotle chili powder, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Strain and rinse the beans.

  4. Combine all the ingredients into the pot with the meat and peppers.

  5. Let it all simmer for 30 minutes.
