Sour Cream Enchilada Sauce
  1. Heat a heavy sauce pan on medium heat

  2. Add butter, melt but don't brown it

  3. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute until thickened

  4. Add chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder and salt and whisk until smooth

  5. Let it come to a boil and whisk it as it thickens. (About 5 minutes)

  6. Take off heat and let cool for 5 minutes

  7. Add sour cream and stir it in

  8. Put pan back on low heat and add cheese and stir until melted

  9. Add ½ cup or less of chicken broth to thin the sour cream sauce to your liking

  10. Ladle on enchiladas or dish of your choice
