Over medium heat, melt butter, add onion and cook for 5 to 6 minutes, until translucent.
Add corn and stir, then add green chiles, garlic powder, and salt. Stir to combine.
Then add sour cream and stir to fully combine.
Add layer of pepperjack cheese and cover. Lightly simmer on medium heat for 4 minutes to melt cheese.
