Pre-heat oven to 160 degrees Celsius convection or 170 degrees Celsius conventional setting.
In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a larger bowl, cream butter and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Add in vanilla extract. Mix well.
Add flour mixture, then the milk. With a spatula, fold until combined.
Add peeled, cored and cut apples. Fold until combined.
Transfer batter into a 20cm round pan.
Bake for 35 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius convection or 170 degrees Celsius conventional oven.
Let cake cool down before removing from the pan.
Dust with icing sugar.
